Funk The Family Festival 2015 Review

The perfect mix of sun, fun & family-friendly funk.

An absolutely wonderful day in Hove yesterday at the Funk The Family festival.

As far as the eye could see babies in buggies boogied while toddlers fell in love for the first time with the freedoms that festivals bring.

Mums and Dads drank… in the funkdoobiest of soundtracks and the range of wonders that surrounded them like kids who had been given the keys to Wonka’s recipe room. Safe in the knowledge that everyone around them was in the same boat, i.e. parents who still like to party like we used to. Albeit, at a far more safe, controlled and polite middle-class rate.

There was something for everyone, making this by far one of the best family music events Brighton has seen in years..

Here’s what went down in the words and pictures of some of the good folks that were there.

This is best viewed in full screen (bottom right icon) and if you tap the top of the screen you will get to see the accompanying tweets and credits of the people that the images belong to**.

Where you part of the family funking at the Funk The Family Festival if so, what was your favourite part of the day?

Let me know below I’d love to hear..

I have a friend in the South East who I have got to know pretty well over the best part of the past 10 years… he runs this blog. Every now & again I get a text that basically says “OY! get down to this!!”… and so as he so rightly said “you normally blow me out”, I attended this festival yesterday! Well, I’m glad I did, kids had a great time, thank you so much, lovely to see you all again and meet up with new people! I will definitely subscribe & make the effort to keep up with the posts! Big love to you, Sal & Nat xx Wax, Corrina, Safire & Cami (Saf’s little mate)

I think we used up all the sunshine yesterday had we had some today, this wouldn’t have been written so quickly 🙂

Look forward to reading your view, Isabella. From down there I imagine you had a wonderful time seeing all those grown up’s acting all daft!

I enjoyed that very much. I was not able to make it to the festival this year, so that slideshow was a nice show of what I did miss! Thank you!

Seems like a great time. I have never been there before, but it looks like something my family would enjoy, so I am going to “put it on the list”.
