Walking Round A Wild Winter Wonderland – Enchanted Lewes

“WOW, how do they do that?” This was a sentence I was to hear quite a lot in a short period last week when the Duke and I wrapped up warm and trotted out on one of our adventures. This time to Enchanted Lewes. Picture the scene. The grounds of a lovely old country house at the bottom of a beautiful old lane in Lewes on a dark winter night.

Now imagine a bunch of mad-hatters being given the run of the place with the brief to create incredible spellbinding projections, light shows, and an artistic after-dark winter wonderland pop-up cinema experience. Can’t? Well, you can let me try and describe it to you.

Enchanted Lewes

Every corner of the beautiful grounds and architecture contained a wild mix of singing birds, mermaids, blinking eyes, crazed witches and exploding moons. The Grange itself is used as a canvas to show part of an animated sequence, that had the gathered crowd of families,  smiling broadly and raising their eyebrows quizzically.
